David L. Moody, 66, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017 in Indianapolis, IN. David was born August 12, 1951, to Donald R. and Virginia M. Moody. He was a graduate of Arlington High School and Indiana Vocational Technical College. He was married to Jan Cradick Moody for 46 years and together they raised their two sons, Michael (Heather) and Joseph (Dawn). He was employed by My-te Products for 36 years as marketing manager. He loved singing and his beautiful bass voice sounded in several choirs, including the Cumberland First Baptist Church Choir and the Indianapolis Maennerchor. He enjoyed spectator sports, Broadway musicals, reading and camping. He is survived by his wife Jan, sons Mike and Joe, grandchildren David, Anna, Phoenix and Piper, mother Virginia, brother Ronald (Sherry) and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Donald, brother Douglas, and nephew Tom Parry. A celebration of David’s life will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018, 11:00 a.m., at Cumberland First Baptist Church, 116 S. Muessing, Cumberland, IN, 46229. A gathering of family and friends will take place following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Outreach Ministry Eastside (COME) food pantry in care of Cumberland First Baptist Church.
